Electrically adjustable chairs not only provide assistance in movement and supreme comfort, but also form the
basis of effective Pressure Sore prevention. There
are 5 different styles of chairs from Carewright, each available with a variety of customisations and accessories,
and which can be supplied complete with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System.
They are known as the Gargrave, Grassington,
Ingleborough, Ilkley and Skipton.
The Gargrave
The Gargrave is a traditionally styled scroll arm chair combined with a modern, electrically operated Rise and Recline mechanism.
The low voltage single motor is operated by a simple two button handset which can be safely stored in the built-in side pocket when not
in use. The reclining mechanism is linked and operates in two stages. Firstly, the leg rest gently elevates, raising the users legs whilst
maintaining an upright seating position. The second stage takes the backrest into a comfortable semi-recline position.
With three floor to seat heights and two seat depths this chair offers a wide range of sizes to suit most needs. There is also a choice
of back styles for this chair: the Waterfall Back (pictured) and the Button Back. The waterfall back style features a three section, fibre
filled backrest with each section individually adjustable to suit the user. This feature provides exceptional comfort and excellent pressure
distribution properties. Please state which style when ordering.
As with all our Rise and Recline chairs, the Gargrave can be supplied with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System,
combining the very latest technology in pressure relief and dynamic air therapy.

The Grassington
The Grassington is a traditionally styled scroll arm chair, combined with a modern electrically operated twin motor Rise and Recline
mechanism. The low voltage motors are operated by a four button handset, which can be safely stored in the built-in side pocket when
not in use. The extra motor allows independent control of leg rest and backrest giving the user an infinite number of seating and reclining
positions to accommodate their individual needs.
A special feature of the Grassington is the incorporation of Tilt-in-Space within the leg rest action. Pressing the leg rest up button gently
raises the lower legs through 90 degrees, with the back remaining upright. Further operation of the button raises the front of the seat and
leg rest, whilst the back moves in harmony, creating a supremely comfortable and relaxing sitting position. The waterfall back style
(pictured) features a three section, fibre filled backrest with each section individually adjustable to suit the user. This feature provides
exceptional comfort and excellent pressure distribution properties.
As with all our Rise and Recline chairs, the Grassington can be supplied with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System,
combining the very latest technology in pressure relief and dynamic air therapy.

The Ingleborough
The Ingleborough is a traditionally styled scroll arm chair, combined with the ultimate in electrically operated chair positioning systems.
The Ingleborough Four Motor Chair provides a previously unimaginable level of control over the users sitting position. The low voltage motors
are operated by an ergonomically designed handset, allowing total individual control over the following functions:
Tilt-in-Space; the whole chair can be tilted backwards whilst maintaining a constant angle between seat and back. This creates a seating
position which is not only extremely comfortable, but by distributing weight over a larger contact area, helps to combat the build up of pressure.
Tilt-in-Space is also the solution in situations where the occupant has a tendency to slide forward into an uncomfortable, slumped position,
whilst seated in normal chairs or recliners.
Leg Rest; actuated by a single dedicated motor, the users legs can be gently raised through a full 90 degrees, independent of any
other function. Use of the Tilt-in-Space facility will further increase the leg height by up to 255mm (10”), helping to alleviate leg oedema, a
build up of fluid in the legs. Backrest; full independent operation of the backrest enables the seat to back angle to be seamlessly adjusted
from 110 degrees to a comfortable full recline. Raise and Tilt; with an almost vertical rise of 5” the Ingleborough is ideal for use in care homes,
where adjustable seat height makes one chair suitable for a variety of users, and by carers, allowing the chair to be raised to a more comfortable
height. The lift is followed by a gentle shallow tilt to aid standing and sitting down.
As with all our Rise and Recline chairs, the Ingleborough can be supplied with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System,
combining the very latest technology in pressure relief and dynamic air therapy.

The Ilkley
The Ilkley is an electrically controlled chair with a lift and recline facility, operated by a simple, two button, low voltage hand control unit.
The lift action is particularly beneficial for those who have problems in rising from the sitting position. This is achieved by the user simply
having to press the up button on the hand control.
The recline motion is operated by simply pressing the down button. This gentle movement operates in two distinct stages. Firstly the leg
rest slowly elevates, raising the users legs but still maintaining an upright seating position. The second stage slowly reclines the backrest
for supreme comfort and relaxation.
The Ilkley features a soft but supportive three section, fibre filled backrest. Each section of the backrest can be individually adjusted to best
suit the requirements of the user. This feature provides exceptional with support where it is needed, combined with excellent pressure
distribution properties.
As with all our Rise and Recline chairs, the Ilkley can be supplied with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System,
combining the very latest technology in pressure relief and dynamic air therapy.

The Skipton
The Skipton is a high specification lift and recline chair, featuring both Tilt-in-Space and an adjustable sub-frame. This system can
be set, by the installer, to one of three positions: Lift with Full Tilt, for maximum assistance with sitting and standing; Lift with Shallow
Tilt, for those users who do not need the Full Tilt; and Vertical Lift Only, ideal for use in care homes where adjustable seat height makes
one chair suitable for a variety of users, and by carers, allowing the chair to be raised to a more comfortable height.
To aid posture control the Skipton has an internal Tilt-in-Space. The seat to back angle remains the same, dramatically reducing the
effects of shearing associated with some traditional recliners. The simple two button hand control and limited recline makes the Skipton
an ideal chair for use in any caring environment.
There is a choice of back styles for this chair: the Waterfall Back and the Button Back. The Waterfall back style features a three
section fibre filled backrest with each section individually adjustable to suit the user. This feature provides exceptional comfort and
excellent pressure distribution properties. Please state which style when ordering.
As with all our Rise and Recline chairs, the Skipton can be supplied with the revolutionary Airelite Seating System,
combining the very latest technology in pressure relief and dynamic air therapy.
